Lindsay is an Assistant Professor in Sport Nutrition in Department of Sport and Exercise Sciences at Durham University. She is also a registered Sport and Exercise Nutritionist (SENr/BDA) and leads nutrition support at Newcastle Falcons Rugby and is a practitioner on the Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme, working across various sports. Lindsay has been a sport nutritionist with Cricket Scotland and sportscotland Institute of sport. Lindsay’s PhD, at the University of Stirling examined the relationship between protein feeding and lean mass. Lindsay’s current research interests are driven towards bringing sports nutrition research and applied practice closer together. Lindsay has a particular interest around to best support athletes' health and performance in relation to nutrition and metabolism and how body composition measurements are used in a sporting environment.

Performance Nutrition Consultant, SENR Practitioner
Tom Coughlin is a Consultant Nutritionist based in Edinburgh, Scotland. Tom has worked with various physical performance departments to implement nutritional operations, strategy and advance performance. Tom has previously led Performance Nutrition for the Scottish Rugby Union and Hibernian Football Club. He is currently consulting with Edinburgh Rugby and British Curling to lead their Performance Nutrition programmes, in addition to working with numerous high performing individual athletes.

Calum is an elite international swimmer with 10+ years of experience competing at the highest level, including multiple European and World titles, Olympic gold, and recognition as an MBE for services to sport. Transitioned into coaching, contributing over three years to the development of world-class athletes and playing a key role in achieving two Olympic gold medals and multiple World Championship podiums. Passionate about high-performance sport, athlete development, and ABCs.

Science and Medicine Lead at GB Aquatics
Rich is the Sports Science and Sports Medicine Lead for Para-Swimming and the Head of Physical Performance for Aquatics GB. Having worked for 20 years in elite sport as a nutritionist, Rich has a strong understanding of the impact of body weight and composition on performance and the challenges faced by practitioners, athletes and coaches with managing interventions and monitoring. Rich is an SENr Practitioner registrant and has served on the SENr board. He holds an MSc in Sport and Exercise Nutrition.

Associate Professor in Sport and Exercise Physiology in Dublin City University and Sports Physiologist in Sport Ireland Institute
SarahJane is Head of School of Health and Human Performance and an Associate Professor in Sport & Exercise Physiology in Dublin City University (DCU). She is a Sports Physiologist with Sport Ireland Institute, having worked with athletes in preparation for Tokyo and more recently Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games. She coordinates the Irish horseracing research programme in conjunction with The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board, with findings informing support and education services as well as policy across the industry. SarahJane is Vice Chair of the Irish Sport and Exercise Sciences Association (ISESA). She is an ISAK-accredited anthropometric instructor (Level 3). She chaired the multidisciplinary working group in Body Composition in Sport Ireland Institute, raising awareness and understanding of the complexities of body composition as a performance variable. SarahJane’s research interests include: 1) Physiological and psychological impacts of making weight in weight category sports, 2) Female athlete health and performance 3) Body composition assessment in athletes.

Postdoctoral Fellow at Memorial University of Newfoundland, Canada
Dr. Luisa Pereira Vargas is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow at Memorial University researching abuse and wellbeing in sport officials. As an active athlete in a weight-class sport, she also brings lived experience to her research. Her other current research focuses on mental illness in athletes, improving coaching education around body composition and mental health sensitivities, and how performance pressures in sport can influence eating and exercise behaviours.
